Kjell & Lily In The Bath Pond

We gave Uncle Ben's Thunderbird Hockey Tickets for Christmas...the tickets were for the 15th of February. We also included we would watch the girls for them to go to the game.

I decide that I would take the older kids to see Percy Jackson and the Lighting Thief that night for my Valentine's Day present to them. So Matthew ended up having to watch the babies.

I thought it was excellent movie, but it was "just okay"for the kids because most of them have read the book and it wasn't the same as the movie.

Well to make a long story when we got home from the movies the two babies were covered with red licorice from head to their toes. I mean covered..I wish I took a pictures. They even had it in their ears. Matthew couldn't settle them...they were whining because they knew they were missing out of all the fun. So to finally make them settle down he gave them red licorices. Matthew didn't care, it kept them happy until we got home.

They both needed to take a bath, which neither minded, they both love the bath. Here they are in the bath together:

All In A Day's Work

Having Kjell come to work has some advantages like when I working; I can hear how much fun Kjell is having playing. I don't miss out on the little things. I love to hear him sing or see him dance around. Last week they played with whip cream. Kjell dove right in, smearing the whip cream all over and eating it by the handful. Lily wasn't sure about it at first, "Are they crazy, I will get messy". Then Kayla added craisins and goldfish crackers in the whip cream for them to play and eat. Lily and Kjell are very competitive, so after one does it the other has to do it. So Lily got into after all, she couldn't be overdone by Kjell...that's such a Moore thing. Later they played in a laundry basket. They had a blast. They were laughing and giggling so hard you could hear in the other office.Kayla is definitely going to get a workout from this.They kept wanting her to push them around the office.

Next day they finger painted, I wished I had my camera... Both desperately needed a diaper change, but Kayla figure that they could wait until after they painted. She knew they would need to be change after they painted. She strip them down so they only had their diapers only. They painted on the paper for awhile then decide they would paint their bodies. So picture this...they both still badly needed a diaper change, they have paint all over them and Kayla need to get them to sink so she can wash them. Kjell know we are laughing at him in soggy, loaded down diaper that he start running around away from Kayla into the next office...the diaper slipping more off him by the second. Because Kjell is running around; Lily join in with her diaper sagging too...both still covered in paint,both still laughing, both loosing their diapers at the same time. I guess the lesson of the day...a diaper can only hold so much. It was so funny and cute. I try next time to have my camera ready.

Sledding Fun

We all had a great time sledding in over the weekend...well except Kjell, he was ready to go in the first 5 minutes. The boys got to try out their new sleds from Santa for the first time. We went to our friends that live in Roslyn where they had lots of snow. We went sledding near their house in some coal mining hills.

Matthew was only willing to go down the hill at Russell and Maggie's House. He was to afraid he would get hurt going down the coal mine hills. So here is the only picture I got with him riding a sled.

All the kids were offered $10 bucks if they could make it to the cars. Erik, my fearless one came the closest at 500 feet, he almost got to cars. He keep trying for the 2 hours that we were out there.

Kjell loved eating the snow more then he like sledding. Here is picture of him laying on the snow with his face deep in the snow. He keep eating the snow and then started cry that it was cold. He also was having a hard time walking around in his snow suit. It remind me of the "Christmas Story" and the little brother trying to walk to school.

Karl went down on the blue sled once and then went back to his sled....that blue sled went really fast down that hill, I don't blame him....I went back to the foam board after I wipe out coming down the hill. He still went really fast on his sled and caught some big air coming off the hill.

Anna loved the blue sled too. So Anna and Erik were fighting on who would get it use it next. Anna is also a dare devil and enjoyed going real fast.

We are excited to go again...but next time we will need to leave Kjell with Grandma.

Wouldn't It Be Great To Be Eight Again

Today was special day for Erik. Erik turned 8 today and was baptized. It was amazing at all the people that came...most of it was family, but a couple of friends from the ward came to share this day with our family.

Lucky for me, I wasn't asked to be a part of the program. Erik knew who he wanted to speak and what songs he wanted to sing. "I want my Auntie Sara to talk on the Holy Ghost and my Uncle Ben to talk on that other blessing, and I want Earl to say the prayer" What about Grandma?? **Long pause** Erik there are two prayers, "OK she can say the other one". Quickly, I said "works for me". His favorite songs are "I Am Child of God" and "When I Was Baptized" So his program came together quickly.

Erik was baptized on his birthday and at the Monroe Building. Just like Matthew and I were a long time ago. He will remember this for the rest of his life.

Karl thought it would've been easier this time around because I had practice with him...but having your kids 5 years apart you forget a lot of things. It was also hard having Kjell there, he didn't want to sit still. For some reason, Erik at 3 sat a little better or I just didn't realize him running around has much at Karl's Baptism. (Sara just confirmed that Erik didn't run around)

Uncle Ben talked on Baptism and gave him a really cool white board to remind him when he make a sin, he can wash it away.

My Cousin Brett sang "Baptism" with his guitar which was absolutely beautiful.

Auntie Sara talked on the Holy Ghost and gave him a wind chime to remind him that we can't see the Holy Ghost, but like the wind but we know when He is there. At the end of her talk she told Erik that "he was her most bestest boy" and gave him hug...then Kjell ran up to get his. No, Auntie Sara...I'm not willing to give him up, but I don't mine sharing him once and awhile. For those who don't know Sara has all girls and I have only boys.

Matthew's confirmation blessing was very sweet... "That he was grateful for Erik's smile and the happiness he brings to our home." Was one of my favorite parts...He truly is a blessing to have in our home.

I still remember the day I was baptized...and getting a big birthday cake afterward. It was a really good birthday. And Yes, Erik got a big cake too.

All Erik wanted for his birthday was the Holy Ghost, $100 bill and smoothies...I took the cheaper route. But thanks to Grandma's Moore he got his $100 dollar bill.

It was very special day. I think it would be nice to be eight again.

Watch out for a nasty virus going around...

and no, I not talking about Swine Flu Virus. My computer at home got a very nasty virus...so it been awhile since I last blogged. My Brother-n-Laws, Earl and Benjamin helped to get me back up and running. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of pictures. You never realize how important it is to back up your things until you lose all your pictures. Memories lost in a instant. So if I have learned anything...your computer is machine. Machines can't last forever, back up everything!!!

Lucky I had my Mother-n-Law camera for awhile and she never deletes anything...so I will have borrow it back to upload some of pictures on my computer to show you what we have done for the last month. I have pictures from the Pumpkin Farm, Anna 's Birthday, Halloween, and Twilight Premiere. I can't believe it is already Thanksgiving. Have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow. Eat lots of turkey. I'm so excited for Black Friday....4am shopping here I come :)

Monroe Home Coming Dance

I think I will remember this week longer than Anna will. Anna asked me to help her get ready for the Home Coming Dance at her school. I was so excited...with 3 boys I don't think I will get another chance like this.

A week before the dance, Anna and I went to a friend's house to have her try on some formal dresses for her to borrow. You know you can't where the same dress twice, but no one notices if someone else is wearing the same dress that you wore last year. I enjoyed watching her try on 7 dresses...2 1/2 hours later.We didn't realize we took that long. She decided on a beautiful teal with sparkles. Later that week we got to go shopping for shoes. She wore black stain shoes with a not on the top. They were also beautiful... the pictures don't do them justice.

It was funny when she called me from the Nail Salon asking what color of OPI nail polish was in our bathroom at home.... she thought I was pulling her chain when I said "I'm not really a Waitress"...I had to tell her to look on the bottom I really was not lying.

We started around 4:30pm with her putting on her makeup and me curling her hair. I curled her hair for about 1 1/2 hours...of course it didn't last. Even with lots and lots of hair spray. Marie another exchange student from Norway came to our house to get ready for the dance. We got corsages for the girls. Anna told me that Marie had a green dress...it was so brown and none of them would be wearing white accessories. The corsage didn't match Marie's dress at all ,but I think she was so excited to have one it didn't matter what color it was. Kyle a friend help us pull this off...he is the good looking guy in the picture below. He agree to take these two beautiful girls and I didn't even have to twist his arm....

A day before the dance Andre another exchange student wanted to come too so he joined the group.

They all looked fabulous. Andre (from Brazil) didn't make it for photos so Kjell filled in for him. Andre met them at the restaurant. They went to a little fish restaurant called Sockeye in Monroe. Anna loves fish ,but we don't have it often at home. I asked Anna how the dance was. She answer it was funny....I had to correct her that she had fun. She still think that funny and fun are the same thing. She dance with Horhay another exchange student most of night...he was quite the ladies man...well that what he thinks...plus he didn't want anyone to see him as wall flower. I asked Kyle if he even got the chance to dance with her, but he said they all the other guy exchange students hung on her most of the night. Do you blame them?

They had all had a blast, they all wished it would've lasted longer. Thank you Anna for letting me share this week with you. I will truly remember this moment.
