This was a first time that I have ever had seen a Rain Gutter Regatta. Karl didn't do one when he was in cub scouts. We are not real experts when it comes to making these kits that they give out to these boys(the pinewood derby cars are even worst). Matthew even put his rutter on upside down. I think that Erik had fun making it and loved his idea with the stickers. Erik named is boat, "The Ghost Ship". I didn't realize until I got there that the boys have to blow their boats down a rain gutter. I thought that it was like the pinewood derby race that they put it on track and let it just fall down. So it was neat to watch these kids racing these boats, blowing them as hard as they could without having them topple over.

He was happy he won his race. He didn't win on time but I think he had fun (See his face above). Erik got 3rd out of 12 cars in pinewood derby race a couple a months ago...so maybe we are getting better making these kits hopefully we will have down when Kjell becomes a cub scout.

Today for church my primary class gave wild flower seeds to their Mom's. I found a cute die cut box at Ben Franklin Crafts that they put together and a poem to give to their mothers. We were talking about Faith...so the seeds they gave to their mothers worked out perfectly with the lesson. So I thought I should show it off:

Erik really didn't want to give ordinary valentines to his class this year so this is what we made. (I was so excited, I love making things like this :) I really think they came out cute. Hope all you have a great Valentine's Day.

I one on my top is my favorite...I think I'm more particle to the red one because I got to help alot on one this block; helping pick out fabric and learning to sew on it. Sherrie got a new sewing machine and it was so nice to use it. It self thread, has no foot peddle and cut the thread at the end...it was wonderful to use. It took most of the day up but I would not of change anything, it was so fun to learn and create something that came out so beautiful.

Erik for this year's birthday wanted to have a Sonic the Hedgehog's theme. I thought that will be easy....not!! I think my kids like to pick themes that they know will be hard for me to do (not so popular at that time). And I know that 3 months after the birthday party there will be a
