I do it!!! Kjell and his Independance

I think I have this before, but Kjell drives me crazy. He has to do everything on his own. I would be okay with that if he didn't create such messes for me to clean up. He decide that he would rather not eat if he can't feed himself. I finally gave up and just bring extra clothes to work to change him after he eats. I not sure how much he eat verses how much he spills all over him and around him. Here are some of the pictures from today's lunch:

I should of took pictures of the table and floor...they were worsts of a mess then Kjell. I just remember when Karl was little that if he spilled anything on himself, he would have to change his clothes and wash his hands and face. He was such a dainty eater. Even Erik didn't make this much of mess when he ate. I should know better to stay away from soups, but he loves to eat soup. All I could smell was broccoli cheddar soup when driving home from his clothes I need to wash.

The Coke Explosion

So as you all know, I work with my mother-in-law. She will go behind my back and do whatever she wants with my children. They don't have coats? I'll hear about it. She'll even buy them one if I don't do it. I don't feed them enough, give them enough attention, yap, yap, yap. You get the idea. She does WHATEVER SHE WANTS, WHEN SHE WANTS. Hence... the coke explosion. I went home and told this story and Erik has been asking to tell this story over and over so, I thought I should post it for everyone to read.

Out of all my boys, Kjell is such a busy body. He is always getting into things and making huge messes. He has figured out how to open the refrigerator at work so we had to duct tape it so he could not be able to get into to it. Well I forgot to move the pop that we store by the refrigerator. Kjell got a can a coke. He walks like a drunk on a good day. By the time it reached us to open it was drop several times and dented. I wasn't going to open it. I'm not that crazy! Well, Kjell gave it to Grandma to open. After he whined for awhile, Grandma decided that she would open it. She tapped the top several times. Then slowly she opened thinking this would help...no, it definitely didn't help. I've never seen explosion like this ever before it. It completely sprayed Kjell from head to toe, all over the walls, the desk and all over the floor. It made the biggest mess..Kjell was bawling and we were laughing so hard, trying not to wet our pants. Did I mention that we had a lady from our bank in the office? Yeah, she was laughing too. Maybe you had to be there but it was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. I would advise you if you are ever in this situation to not use this old wives tale, it does not work.

And here if the offender. Would you open that? Nope, I wouldn't either. She must have been smokin' something.

Weekend Getaway

For my Christmas and Birthday present my Mother-n-law took me to Bed & Breakfast on Whidbey Island for weekend without my kid or my husband to scrapbook, relax and have weekend to ourselves. We drove past the B&B a couple of times...thinking where can it be?.... Are at the right place we thought? We driving down the road again, looking for the address on the houses. Still not finding it. We finally going to give up when a handyman working on house pointed across the street. Could this be it? Surely it can't be... All we could think of how nice it looked from the photos on the Internet. It amazing to me how good you can make things look when your using a computer. A woman was now approaching us on right...so Sherrie put down her window, "Do you know where the Bush Point B&B is located? "..." Hi, I'm Bonnie the caretaker. It is across the street. The blue and white building." So, we did finally get to the right place and it was not as bad as the pictures above... but pretty close. Bonnie asked after we looked at the place if we still take it for the price that she said on the phone.(what a funny question to ask, we thought...we said yes, of course) She must have people complain after seeing it.

We had a lot of fun , we finished a lot of unfinished projects from the Scrapbook Convention, rested, played domino's (I lost both games...which if you know me; I would played until I won, I hate losing, but I was too tired.) and enjoy our time without the kids. The room was clean and views were spectacular... we we on the shipping line so we got to see a lot of large boats. It was right on the water so we could hear the water. Being in the managing condos business, we get a lot of complaints about pigeons... I never knew how loud they could be. Now I can see why people complain about them. We had them show up every morning on the dock/deck we had front of our window. We were given muffins for breakfast...one was moldy. It must of been in fridge for a very long time. Lucky we thought of food to take with us, we didn't want to go anywhere and wanted to stay in our house coats all weekend. All and all we had a great weekend and it wasn't too bad. We are thinking to take our kids up there for Grandma's Camp this year.

"It Was The Squash"

Erik was sick last week...I think he had the flu, but according to Erik, a spaghetti squash at Grandma's House made him sick. He said that he smelled it and that's what started his watery eyes and his stuffed up nose. It was funny that when a kids doesn't like the look or smell of something they can come automatically allergic to it. Erik was convinced that Grandma needed to throw the squash away and that he would be better the next day.

Erik has come into to our bed the last couple of days becuase he says that he was sick and needs to sleep with us to feel better. We told him that he needed to sleep in his own bed tonight no exceptions. Tonight after his bath and it was time to go to bed, he became really sick again(he was so faking it)...he work so hard to throw up, that he finally did throw up (just a little). " Mom, I'm so sick...Can I sleep in your bed tonight?"..."I guess that I can't go to school tommrow either". When I told him no, it was not going to work, that he still needed to sleep in his bed. He said"Darn, I was hoping that would of worked".

Da-Dad Hats

Kjell loves putting on Matthew's welding caps. Matthew was sitting on the couch yesterday and Kjell notice that Da-Dad was not wearing one of his hats , so he went and got one for him. He makes sure that Da-Dad is always wearing one and that Grampa is wearing his hat all the time.

The other day I took a phone message for Alice, a lady at the office I work with. I asked Kjell to take the message to Alice, there is two people in each office, he went straight into her office and handed her the phone message that I written. Every morning when each person comes into the office he opens their door for them.
He makes sure that Grandma is wearing her slippers. That he needs tooth paste on tooth brush so he can brush his teeth. How to get things out of the microwave. Knowing that we are close to Grandpa's House. That when he is hungry, he get up in his high chair.
I had brought one of Lily's pacifier to church to give to Sara from last week and he pulled out and said Lily and tried to go look for her.
He amazes me all the time for all the little things he does.

Erik's Birthday Party

The flu has been going through the Moore household this week and of course I was the one that would get it the day before Erik's Birthday Party. For all that know me, Birthday Party are really important to me. I always have a theme, balloons, games (pinata) cake (decorated in the same theme and goodie bags with items that fit the theme...I know, they probably won't remember it later in there life.

Not feeling good, I was worried how I was going to do Erik's Party. Thanks to the hard work from my n-laws, (Auntie Sara) made a beautiful cake, got and filled 400 pieces of candy in a soccer ball pinata, and (Grandma Moore) made up some goodie bags. Erik's Birthday party turn out to be a blast. Thank you, Thank you! I couldn't of done it without you guys.

Here are the pictures from Erik's Birthday Party.

Anyone Out There

Kjell loves to look out our front door through the mail slot. I never been able to get a picture of until today. He normally shut the door before I can a take picture. He loves seeing and talking to the people outside.
